Why It’s Worth Being a Coordinator: RACE Project
As part of the Leaders in Horizon Europe campaign organised by the National Contact Point for EU Research Programmes, which aims to encourage representatives of the Polish R&D&I community to take on the role of coordinators in international consortia, RACE project, coordinated by the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology in Warsaw (IIMCB), is presented as an example of successful Polish leadership in Horizon Europe.

Coordinating such a large and prestigious project as RACE brings many significant benefits. We do not implement ideas created by others – instead, we have a direct impact on shaping a large-scale project. We engage in direct dialogue with the European Commission and gain experience in managing international, multi-partner projects with substantial budgets and tasks of European relevance. Most importantly, we build awareness and strengthen the brand of our Institute and Polish scientists in Europe and worldwide. That is why we encourage all Polish institutions – it is worth being a coordinator! say RACE project managers Dorota Libiszowska and Alexia Danyłow.
