Highlights from SPP Cambridge 2025
On 15 September 2025, at the University of Cambridge, the meeting titled Science: Polish Perspectives (SPP) Cambridge 2025 — “From Discovery to Disruption: Polish Innovation in the UK” took place. Natalia Szulc from the Laboratory of Protein Metabolism participated in the event. During the Science Spotlight pitch session, she presented how her basic-science PhD research evolved into a science-popularization initiative. She admitted the following: “The event was an excellent opportunity to meet the Polish scientific diaspora in the UK and to learn from talks spanning cutting-edge research, science policy, and career stories from senior scientists.”
SPP Cambridge 2025 focused on showcasing how Polish science, business, and innovation can develop and grow in the UK. During the event, participants could approach the topic from two perspectives: research and entrepreneurship. The organizers provided attendees with opportunities for networking, taking part in lively discussions, and meeting professionals not only from research but also from startups, investment, and policymaking.
Participation in the event supported the RACE project (WP6 – Dissemination and Communication).
