DEGRADATOR Game Wins 3rd Prize at ECGBL 2024 — IIMCB at the Forefront of Science Education

DEGRADATOR, an educational game developed by IIMCB PhD student Natalia Szulc, won 3rd place in the fully developed games category at the 12th International Educational Games Competition, part of ECGBL 2024 at Aarhus University. Participation in ECGBL 2024 was funded by the RACE project, supporting IIMCB’s mission to promote innovation and communicate science on the European stage.
The game creatively explains the ubiquitin-proteasome system and targeted protein degradation therapies, placing players in the role of an E3 ubiquitin ligase. Designed for learners aged 12+, DEGRADATOR bridges science and engagement to fight misinformation and promote understanding of cutting-edge biomedical topics.
