25 Years of IIMCB – Celebrating the Past, Building the Future with RACE

We are proud to present the official 25th Anniversary Brochure of the IIMCB, titled “Let’s Build a Great Institute.” This special publication reflects on the bold vision, challenges, and achievements that shaped IIMCB into one of Poland’s leading research institutions — from its founding in 1995 to its transformation into a globally recognized center of scientific excellence.

As the brochure illustrates, RACE (RNA and Cell Biology – from Fundamental Research to Therapies) is not only the most ambitious project in the Institute’s history — it is the natural next step in the journey outlined over the past 25 years. With support from the Horizon Europe Teaming for Excellence programme, RACE enables IIMCB to scale up its scientific impact, expand its Core Facilities, and strengthen collaborations with top-tier international partners.

The brochure also explores how RACE, RACE-PRIME, and IN-MOL-CELL form the three strategic pillars shaping IIMCB’s dynamic development toward 2029 — a vision rooted in excellence, driven by innovation, and powered by people.
